Overview top

This course continues to build upon the skills that you developed on the Level 3 Diploma and during the year you will continue explore the various disciplines of game design. You will explore the Games industry in depth and the many career progression opportunities, helping you to map out your first steps in your career for working in the games industry.

Upon completion of this course, you will achieve the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Practice that has been fully adapted to Games design. The Level 3 Extended Diploma is taught across one year and if completed replaces the qualification achieved in year one.

The Extended Diploma in Creative Media Practice is the equivalent to 3 A-levels, meaning learners that complete this course can progress onto Higher Education at university if they wish.

We know that having good qualifications alone doesn't always make you stand out.

That's why we're all about going the extra mile with you.

Studying with us means practical, hands-on workshops, group sessions, expert guest speakers, visits to local employers, wellbeing drop-ins, chill out time ... the list goes on.

As part of the course, you will also take part in an external work placement to help you develop your confidence and skills to stand out from the crowd.
