Overview top
This 40 hour course is designed to equip the candidates with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to keep a safe navigational watch using Electronic Chart Display and Information systems (ECDIS), interfaced with other onboard equipment to maintain safety of navigation. The course meets the requirements of STCW (as amended) and is approved by the MCA. The course is undertaken using our state of the art Kongsberg ECDIS equipment and simulators.
Entry Requirements top
Minimum of six months bridge watchkeeping sea time supported by bridge watchkeeping testimonials or following an MNTB/MCA approved training programme leading to a first Certificate of Competency.
We can accept other candidates whose occupation requires the completion of an MCA approved ECDIS course.
