What is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a work-based programme, combining on the job training and academic college learning. You will work alongside experienced industry specialists for four days of the week, while learning the core theory at college one day per week.
Apprenticeships can last between one and four years. During that time you will study towards a nationally recognised qualification while learning, first hand, the skills and experience employers are looking for. Apprenticeships are available in a variety of different sectors, and we will help you find the right one for you.

Earn while you learn – An average wage for an apprentice is £101 per week at aged 16 years, though some employers may pay more)

What are the entry requirements?
You can start as an apprentice as long as you are:
Living in England
Aged 16 years and over and not in full-time education
You may be working and want to get qualifications relevant to your current job role with your existing employer, or you may be looking to start a new career.
Entry requirements may differ depending on the apprenticeship and sector, but our work-based learning team will be able to assist you during your application process.

If you would like further information regarding apprenticeships and the application process, the work-based learning team are on hand every open night. These are held on the first Tuesday of every month from 5pm -7pm.
