Overview top

A great course if you want to learn the theory and practical techniques of hairdressing for use in a wide range of contexts which employers are looking for. These will include; commercial styling, colouring, blow styling, dressing of long hair and permanent waving. This varied course is made up of individual units which include health and safety.

  • 203 Advise ad consult with clients
  • 204 Shampoo and condition hair
  • 205 Promote products and services
  • 206 Cut women’s hair
  • 207 Change hair colour
  • 208 perming hair
  • 209 Art of dressing hair
  • 212 Creating an image
  • 216 Reception

Entry Requirements top

Level 1 in related subject and interview with Hairdressing staff.

Assessment top

Assessment is via theory and assignment and practical assessments in the salon environment.

Professional Opportunities top

Successful completion will allow progression to the level 3 certificate in women's hairdressing.
