This course will develop a wide range of welding skills, covering all three disciplines of MIG, TIG, and MMA. Learners will progress through these welding techniques at level 1 and progress to level 2, at which stage you will have industry standard skills which can lead to employment or an apprenticeship.
The course is practical based, and you will also study maths and english to support your development into employment or an apprenticeship.
There are no formal entry requirements.
Learners will be assessed by producing practical test pieces to a given standard (skills), and will demonstrate a level of welding knowledge to demonstrate safe working practices.
Learners can progress into employment in the engineering sector where there is good demand for skilled welders.
Learners can also progress onto an apprenticeship, or study a PEO level 2 qualification.
