This is ideal for young or adult learners with little or no knowledge and experience of the automotive industry.
This is a route into the automotive industry and will enable you to work on routine accident repair tasks under minimal supervision. Successful candidates will have the basic skills needed to apply for an automotive apprenticeship or similar engineering pathway.
There is a minimum requirement of 4 GCSEs grades A-C including maths. Alternatively successful completion of Level 1 Diploma at a good level of ability and attendance.
The course is portfolio based and is assessed by observations of practical tasks carried out to a satisfactory standard, and by unit based knowledge questions at the end of each unit.
Successful completion of the Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Accident Repair (Body Repair) can lead to a place on the Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Accident Repair (Body Repair), or if the candidate has a permanent work place then possibly a full Level 2/3 apprenticeship route.
